1,500 ha of this winter's crops have been underwritten, up 500 ha over the previous year, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Underwritten models with a scale of at least 5 ha are located in the districts of Gia Loc, Cam Giang, Nam Sach, and Kim Thanh.
The joint stock companies of Hung Viet Agricultural, Tan Huong Agricultural Product Processing, and Kien Giang Crop Varieties – Export Farm Produce have associated with each other to underwrite a large area.
In addition, agricultural service cooperatives will unitedly sell vegetables to supermarkets and convenience stores.
To date, more than 17,000 ha of winter crops have been planted, reaching 80% of the plan.
People have actively expanded the area of some crops like onions, carrots, corn, vegetables, etc.
By October 28, 2,800 ha of winter crops had been planted in Gia Loc district, meeting 85% of the plan.
Some kinds of winter crops early planted in mid August (about 700 ha) have been harvested and sold smoothly.
