The company has requested permission to study and test the use of mud, ashes, etc. as raw materials and fuels in place of part of fossil materials in cement production.
Vicem Hoang Thach Cement One Member Co., Ltd. has requested the Provincial People's Committee in writing for permission to study and test the use of mud from ponds, lakes, and water plants, ashes, slag, and some other solid waste as raw materials and fuels in place of part of fossil materials in cement production.
Earlier, Vietnam National Cement Corporation analyzed a number of mud samples taken from Ho Tay (West Lake) and the To Lich river in Ha Noi, Nhieu Loc canal in Ho Chi Minh city, and wastewater treatment systems in Hai Duong.
The result showed that after dehydration and mixing, these mud samples had similar components with natural clay, an ingredient in cement production.
