Development of 20 child care groups in industrial zones to be supported

The Provincial Women's Union and the Department of Education and Training will focus on assisting the consolidation and development of independent, private child care groups in the community.

The Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union and the Department of Education and Training on May 4 afternoon jointly realized a plan to carry out the project "Supporting the development of independent, private child care groups in industrial and export processing zones" in the province until 2020.

The project will be implemented in two years (2019 and 2020) to pilot the support of the development of 20 independent, private child care groups in three localities home to a lot of industrial zones, namely Cam Giang and Kim Thanh districts and Hai Duong city.

The Provincial Women's Union and the Department of Education and Training will focus on assisting the consolidation and development of independent, private child care groups in the community and improving the capability of managers, teachers, and baby-sitters at independent, private child care groups.

The two units will also organize communication, education, and mobilization to raise the awareness and change the behavior of women having children under 36 months of age and working in industrial zones about child care and development; work out and perfect mechanisms to ensure and improve the quality of independent, private child care groups; etc.

Within two years of project implementation, efforts will be made for at least 50% of children under 36 months old in the locality to be babysat at independent, private child care groups with quality ensured; all mothers working in industrial zones to receive information to raise their awareness about child care and development; etc.
