50 disadvantaged students of universities and colleges in the province will have an opportunity to receive the scholarships in the 2019 - 2020 academic year.
The Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with SCG Vietnam Co., Ltd. (under SCG Group) to inform universities and colleges in the province about selecting students to receive 2019 Sharing The Dream scholarships.
For the first time, 50 disadvantaged students of universities and colleges in the province will have an opportunity to receive the scholarships in the 2019 - 2020 academic year.
Qualifiers for the scholarships are university and college freshmen getting at least 17 and 16 points, respectively, for three subjects of the national senior high school exam used for university admission; 2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th-year students whose average grade in the 2018 - 2019 academic year was good or better. Economic and technical students are prioritized.
Apart from a VND6-million scholarship/ year, each student will participate in training activities organized by SCG Group to improve their social and professional skills.
Dossiers requesting scholarship granting can be sent to the Provincial Youth Union until September 8.
This year, Hai Duong is one of localities selected to receive these scholarships.
Initiated by SCG Group in 2007, the Sharing The Dream scholarships are annually granted to about 400 students nationwide.
The Thai group specializes in producing and trading construction materials, petrochemicals, and packaging.
