Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on February 5 afternoon checked nCoV-caused disease prevention and control at the special national relic site of Con Son – Kiep Bac.

He was accompanied by Mr. Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee; and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luong Van Cau.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien acknowledged the initiative and activeness of the Management Unit of Con Son – Kiep Bac Relics in nCoV-caused disease prevention and control.

He emphasized that this dangerous disease was spreading fast with complicated developments. Therefore, the Management Unit should actively improve propaganda and strictly implement the Ministry of Health's recommendations to prevent and control this dangerous disease.

He required all officials, employees, locals, and visitors to the relics to wear face masks and limit large gatherings.

The Management Unit must coordinate with relevant local authorities to regularly inspect and require business households within the relics to daily clean the environment, ensure food hygiene and safety conditions, and wear face masks while selling goods.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that though the provincial authorities had postponed the 2020 Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival (previously, the festival opening ceremony was scheduled for February 9, i.e. the 16th day of the 1st lunar month), a large number of visitors were likely to flock to Con Son on February 8 and 9; therefore, the Department of Health should immediately supply disinfectant to sterilize the relics on February 7 afternoon at the latest.

On the afternoon of the same day, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee inspected nCoV-caused disease prevention and control at the Chi Linh City Health Center and Regiment 125 (the Provincial Military Command).

He required the units to proactively prepare facilities, human resources, means, and necessary equipment to carry out isolation and treatment plans when situations occur.
