On 6.47 am, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang exercised his election right and obligation in his residential area.

At polling station No. 1 in residential area 1, Tran Hung Dao ward, Hai Duong city, Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial Election Committee, attended the election opening ceremony in his residential area.
After the head of the election team had invited two voters to witness the checking of the ballot box, it was sealed and the voting began.
At 7 am, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duong Thai was one of the first three voters to cast their ballots at the polling station.
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, this time, in Hai Duong city, 344 voters will ballot in concentrated quarantine areas and 3,434 others who are F1 and F2 cases having completed concentrated quarantine are allowed to cast their votes at home.
To ensure Covid-19 prevention and control, the city’s voters coming to polling stations will have their body temperature measured, use disinfectant, and keep their distance during voting.
In addition, voters are arranged to ballot in different times, and except for the opening time, there must be no more than 10 voters at a polling station at the same time.
The atmosphere of the election day in Kinh Mon provincial town has been stirring since early in the morning. All roads of the provincial town are overshadowed by flags, flowers, and banners propagandizing the election day.
Provincial town, commune, ward, and mobile radio stations are continuously broadcasting information about the election day and songs encouraging people to ballot.
There are antiseptic solutions, face masks, and body thermometers at all polling stations. Members of election teams remind voters to keep their distance in accordance with regulations.
At polling stations, desks for vote distribution, recording, stamping, etc. are placed far from each other, ensuring the prescribed distance.
In Hoang Hoa Tham – a remote commune of Chi Linh city, the sound of loudspeakers mobilizing voters to ballot is resounding throughout village roads and alleys. Many voters, including a lot of ethnic minorities, have come to polling stations to exercise their right and responsibility.
“Over the past days, loudspeakers have regularly broadcast news on the election day. Today, I arranged my farm work to be present at the polling station at 6 am. I carefully read the information and list of candidates to choose those worthy to be elected deputies, thereby paying more attention to the life of people in remote communes and ethnic minorities,” said Vi Thi Hue, a Tay ethnic in Ho Seu hamlet, Hoang Hoa Tham commune.
In Kim Thanh district, all voters going to the polls ensure 5K rules in epidemic prevention and control.
At polling station No. 2 in Hai Ninh hamlet, Kim Tan commune, Dong Quang Tan, who had just finished voting, joyfully said that through nearly 80 years of age with many elections, he never had to wear a face mask, fill in a medical declaration, and keep his distance like this time.
However, after having been mobilized to raise the sense of epidemic prevention and control when balloting, he proactively wore gloves and a face mask and went to the polls by hamlet at the time regulated by the hamlet election team, so he felt very secure.
Tan hoped that the people he chose to believe in would make many contributions to the development of the country and his native land.
