Blueprints for two industrial zones in Binh Giang, Cam Giang passed

The Standing Board of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province agreed to blueprints for phase 1 of Binh Giang industrial zone (IZ) and Luong Dien – Ngoc Lien IZ at its 161st meeting on September 9.

According to the plan proposed by the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee, phase 1 of Binh Giang IZ will cover a total area of 150 ha in Binh Giang district's Thai Hoc, Nhan Quyen, Binh Minh, Binh Xuyen, and Thai Hoa communes and is expected to create jobs for 10,000 laborers.

Luong Dien – Ngoc Lien IZ will cover a total area of more than 149 ha in Cam Giang district's Luong Dien and Ngoc Lien communes and is expected to provide jobs for 13,000 laborers.

They will be concentrated and multi-trade IZs mainly attracting investment in manufacturing, processing, hi-tech engineering, and pollution-free industries.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, required the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches, and local authorities and consultancies to update themselves on general regulations and complete plans for synchronous systems of public works, transport, trees, drainage, etc. as prescribed.

Transport systems in the IZs must be synchronized with the local traffic infrastructure.

The Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee should assign concerned departments, branches, and local authorities to work out a plan to build an intersection of Ha Noi – Hai Phong expressway and Binh Giang IZ and a large-scale traffic system with long-term vision to meet development requirements, contributing to promoting economy and society of Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts and the province; pay attention to planning appropriate land for residential area construction; and continue to survey, assess, and complete a plan to connect traffic from Luong Dien – Ngoc Lien IZ to neighboring areas.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien required the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches, and local authorities to continue working with ministries and Central branches to soon build the IZs and lure investors to the province.

Binh Giang and Cam Giang district authorities should coordinate with departments, sectors, and consultancies to soon announce specific, clear, and methodical plans for officials, Party members, and locals to know and, at the same time, intensify propaganda to create consensus upon site clearance and construction of the above IZs.

The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board also basically agreed to a plan to locally adjust zone 1 in a blueprint for an urban area in the center of Hai Duong city reported on by the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People's Committee.

The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board assigned the city authorities to urgently devise and propose a relocation and resettlement plan for households in two collective quarters of pump and grinding factories to facilitate the plan realization.
