Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Hung Yen PPC Secretary, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, on March 21 afternoon presided over a meeting of the two PPCs' Standing Boards on boosting cooperation on socio-economic development and political system building in 2019 at the headquarters of the Hung Yen PPC.
Also in attendance were Mr. Vu Van Son, Hai Duong PPC Standing Deputy Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Hai Duong PPC Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Hung Yen PPC Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Hung Yen PPC Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the PPCs' Standing Boards; and heads of some departments and branches of the two provinces.

At the meeting, the leaders briefed the results of political task execution and cooperation between the two provinces in 2018 and key directions and tasks for the coming time.
Last year, Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces recorded economic growth rates of over 9% and were among the top 16 provinces and cities balancing budgets by themselves and partly contributing to the Central budget.
The two provinces achieved positive results in meeting targets of socio-economic development and Party and political system building.
During the year, the two localities continued close and effective cooperation in many fields like agriculture, investment attraction, trade promotion, tourism, traffic, assurance of security and order, environment protection, etc.

Addressing the meeting, leaders of the two provinces acknowledged and praised the departments and branches' efforts in giving advice on and realizing cooperative policies between the two localities in 2018.
Hai Duong PPC Secretary Nguyen Manh Hien suggested that the departments, branches, and bordering localities continue to strengthen exchanges and unification for policy proposal and cooperation in all fields.
The bordering localities should intensify the exchange and learning of each other's experience, jointly ensure security and order, and promote socio-economic development.
Media agencies in the two provinces should intensify the propaganda of the two localities; images, especially major events of each province, for people to have more information and knowledge of the tradition of solidarity and attachment between Hai Duong and Hung Yen.

Hai Duong PPC Secretary Nguyen Manh Hien proposed that the two localities continue to boost their comprehensive partnership with special attention paid to building and connecting traffic infrastructure, creating motivations for socio-economic development, etc.
Agreeing to Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien's opinions, Hung Yen PPC Secretary Do Tien Sy suggested that the two provinces continue the tradition of solidarity and attachment; strengthen cooperation and mutual development; expand cooperation and exchange of experience in Party and political system building, education and training development, cooperation on tourism and cultural development, and exchange of experience in industrial and urban development and strong fields of both sides.
Professional agencies and the departments and branches should study and give advice on making plans for the two provinces to concretize the agreed cooperative polices.
