Addressing the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien affirmed that the Vietnam revolutionary press always accompanies the nation and is a bridge between the Party and government and the people and the mouthpiece of managing bodies.
Hai Duong journalists are capable and virtuous, and the province has enough materials and conditions for them to have good journalistic works.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that in the past time, prize-winning works largely reflected reverse and negative aspects of society, only a few of them mentioned positive aspects and advanced examples. The annual press awards of the Provincial Journalists Association were not really attractive to its members and reporters and did not promptly encourage them.
The Provincial Journalists Association should devise clear and specific criteria for prize-winning works, and it is not necessary to grant all high prizes if works fail to meet adequate criteria.

All constructive press works are respected.
The arrangement of press agencies must bring into full play their advantages with mutual support in task realization...
