Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Manh Hien works with AEON Vietnam Director-general

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien pledged to create the most favorable conditions for AEON Vietnam to promote trade in Hai Duong

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on June 13 morning received and worked with Nishitohge Yasuo, Director-general of AEON Vietnam (Japan's AEON Group), coming to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the province.

In attendance were Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Vuong Duc Sang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of some departments and sectors in the province.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien and the provincial leaders briefly introduced the provincial socio-economic development and policies to attract investment.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stressed that over the past years, Hai Duong had attached special importance to luring foreign investors, including Japanese ones.

At present, there are 58 projects of Japanese investors with a total capital of about USD1.5 billion in Hai Duong, ranking second in foreign investment in the province.

The official was very glad to hear that AEON had decided to choose Hai Duong as a place to promote investment and pledged to create the most favorable conditions in terms of procedures as well as a construction site and assist the investor with trade promotion on request.

Japan's AEON Group started investment in retail in Vietnam six years ago.

AEON Vietnam is currently having four shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh city and Ha Noi and building one in Hai Phong.
