The Vietnam Business Summit (VBS) 2019 officially opened in Ha Noi on October 16 afternoon. The event attracted more than 800 delegates, including nearly 300 foreign ones who also participated in a series of events of the VBS and the Asia Business Summit (ABS).
The Hai Duong delegation attended the event under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
Also in attendance were Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Vuong Duc Sang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of some departments, sectors, and businesses in the province.

Addressing the summit, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said during 30 years of renewal, Vietnam maintained high growth which then ranked second in the world as assessed by the World Bank (WB).
Vietnam has been making constant efforts to improve the business environment and keep pace with new trends of the era.
Nowadays, Vietnam is not only a business point but also a long-term attachment land of numerous enterprises from many countries around the world.
With the opening of Vietnam's economy, most of the world's largest corporations have been present in the country. They not only produce goods but also participate in developing new technology, contributing to boosting Vietnam's economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that enterprises and managers should pay more attention to infrastructure, finance, banking, and land. Vietnam has taken many specific actions to foster essential production industries related to Industry 4.0. A lot of recent indicators show that Vietnam is achieving many positive results. Information security also sees efforts and improvement.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government continued to wish to accompany and assist foreign investors in Vietnam with the motto: "Always considering your success as Vietnam's success."

On the sidelines of the event, leaders of Hai Duong province and Kagoshima prefecture (Japan) signed a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of agriculture, health, tourism, manpower development, export of strong products, etc. under the witness of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
At the signing ceremony, leaders of the two localities expressed their special attention to cooperation in training human resources and recruiting quality engineers, technicians, and apprentices to meet development needs of the two localities.
They desired that the cooperation of the two localities would contribute to further strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
