Concluding a meeting on July 29 morning between standing members of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, required the entire province to take anti-pandemic measures at a higher level.

Stressing new and complicated developments of the pandemic, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee required Party committees, authorities, the entire political system, and civilians to proactively and readily respond to anti-pandemic levels.

The provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control must grasp the situation of each locality and unit for timely direction in case of incidents and not allow passiveness and unexpectedness.

Agencies, units, and local authorities must stop organizing tours to all provinces and cities in the Central region to minimize the risk of disease transmission and focus on pandemic prevention and control and, at the same time, recommend people in the province to constrain traveling at the moment.

Officials, public servants, and civil servants returning from Da Nang as from July 14 must exemplarily make medical declarations, be quarantined, monitor their health, and work at home for 14 days.

From July 30, anyone in the province going to other provinces and cities from two days or more must fill in medical declarations.

Activities gathering at least 50 people, including those from outside the province, would be stopped, and the 2020 National Paralympic Games, scheduled to kick off on August 7 in Hai Duong, was requested to be postponed.

Large gathering limitation and face mask wearing in public places were recommended.

Body temperature checking and disinfection must be strictly conducted at crowded conferences and events.

The standing members of the provincial Party Committee agreed to a proposal to charge foreign experts coming to Hai Duong for SARS-CoV-2 testing and those requesting testing themselves to reduce budget burden.

The provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control should direct medical facilities to best prepare forces, means, and equipment and proactively work out plans to be ready for any situation.

The education sector should jointly organize the senior high school graduation exam well and study the plan of adding exam rooms and backup invigilators for distancing in case of complicated pandemic situation.

The police should coordinate with local authorities and relevant units to intensify review and management of foreigners and Vietnamese citizens entering Hai Duong.

As reported by the provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, by the morning of July 29, 2,414 people in the province had been recorded to return from Da Nang, nine of them with cough and fever were being quarantined at medical facilities and tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.

Health centers in districts, cities, and the provincial town are actively collaborating with local authorities to mobilize people returning from Da Nang to make medical declarations and quarantine themselves at home as prescribed.
