A new feature of this year's contest was that aside from knowledge related to computers and mathematics, the contestants also had many creative ideas that could be positively applied to automation, education, traffic, etc.

The organizers awarded first prizes to Nguyen Van Quy from class 5C of Tan Truong I Primary School in Cam Giang district, Pham Duc Duy from class 7A of Chu Van An Junior High School in Chi Linh city, and Nguyen Hai Binh, an 11th grader from the computing-specialized class of Nguyen Trai Senior High School for Gifted Pupils in Hai Duong city.
