HCM City topped the medals table at the National Top Team Table Tennis Championship that concluded in the southern province of Tien Giang late last week.
The team bagged three golds and three bronzes to take the crown. Hai Duong was the 1st runner-up with two golds, one silver and two bronzes while T&T Club came third with one gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
This year’s event drew 150 players and coaches from across the country including Ha Noi, Da Nang, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, and the Military and Police teams.
Participants competed in the women’s and men’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
The event was a warm-up for members of the national team for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games to be held in the Philippines later this year.
