Adjusting Huong river ecotourism site project to lure visitors

Appreciating the tourism potential of Thanh Ha lychee regions, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien asked the local authorities and the provincial tourism sector to review and adjust the project to lure visitors and efficiently exploit it.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on June 13 morning inspected the harvest and sale of thieu lychee in some areas of Thanh Khe commune (Thanh Ha).

He was accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Anh Cuong, Member of the PPC's Standing Board, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Luong Van Cau, PPC Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; etc.

The inspection showed that the price of lychee was stable and higher than the same period last year.

Lychee cared for under VietGAP standards and stuck traceability stamps on was bought by enterprises for higher prices.

The PPC secretary encouraged local people to make good and clean products and keep the brand long to increase competitiveness on the market.

Picking lychee fruits from a boat on the Dong Man river in An Lao hamlet (Thanh Khe commune), Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien appreciated the tourism development potential of lychee regions in Thanh Ha.
 


Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hien recommended Thanh Ha district to diversify fruit trees like guava, kumquat, pomelo, etc.

He asked the local authorities and the provincial tourism sector to review and adjust the Huong River Tourism Site Project to lure visitors and efficiently exploit it; develop sub-projects in the directions of sailing on the river, building wharves, diversifying fruit trees like guava, kumquat, pomelo, etc.; and develop tourism products and services only available in Thanh Ha..

Especially, lychee, a staple product, should be hybridized and intercropped to extend the harvest time.

By the morning of June 13, 23,000 tons out of 35,000 tons of lychee of various kinds in Thanh Ha district had been sold.
