At the 8th session of the 17th People’s Council of Hai Duong province on June 24, a resolution advocating investment in a project to build a route and Van bridge connecting national highway 37 in Chi Linh city and the road to Trieu bridge in Kinh Mon town.

The project aims to complete the regional traffic network as planned, creating a traffic axis linking the urban area of Kinh Mon and that of Chi Linh, national highway 37 and provincial roads 389 and 389B and planed routes (ring road of the capital region and the provincial north-south axial road).

At the same time, a traffic route connecting Northeast districts and neighboring provinces (Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong) will be gradually formed, creating inter-regional development space and favorable conditions to attract investment, promoting the development of Chi Linh city and Kinh Mon town in particular and the province in general.

The main route will intersect with national highway 37 at its start point (km 0 + 000), about 1.3 km from Binh bridge towards Dong Lac ward in Chi Linh city, and with provincial road 389 and the road to Trieu bridge in Le Ninh commune, Kinh Mon town, at its end point (around km 9 + 720).

The main route will be more than 9.7 km long, including about 3.5 km in Chi Linh city, about 0.9 km of Van bridge, and around 5.3 km in Kinh Mon town.

The main route is expected to be built as a 3rd-grade plain road with a design speed of 80 km/h, a 12m wide roadbed, and an 11m wide road surface.

Van bridge will be constructed with prestressed reinforced concrete structure to be 12 m wide and about 919 m long.

There will be a branch line in Kinh Mon town.

Investment in the project is expected to total 1,296 billion VND from the provincial budget in medium-term public investment plans for 2021 – 2025 and 2026 – 2030 periods.
