Over the past time, telecommunications enterprises in Hai Duong have carried out many activities to accompany authorities and people to repel the Covid-19 pandemic.

Businesses have checked and maintained the entire 1,196 BTSs and 369 telecom cable routes, tanks, and pipes.
Subordinate telecom centers have quickly remedied problems related to Internet connection and proactively rearranged backup equipment and mobile broadcasting vehicles.
In each district, provincial town, and city, there is at least one technical team ready to handle problems and save information, especially in pandemic hotbeds and concentrated quarantine areas.
Deputy Director of VNPT Hai Duong Nguyen Trong Viet said his company had spent more than VND500 million on 30,000 m of optic cables and many devices for pandemic prevention and control and supported the connection of 131 online conferences from Central to provincial levels.
Recently, the unit has assigned hundreds of engineers and technicians to operate and support 151 online terminals from provincial to commune levels, facilitating direction and administration during the pandemic period.
Telecom firms in the province are continuing research to propose extension of bandwidth capacity for Internet connection, focusing on services for online working and distance teaching.
Viettel Hai Duong on August 15 mobilized eight technicians to install two free wifi access points at Hai Duong University and set up other free wifi access points in a quarantine area in Thanh Ha district’s Thanh Quang commune and at HUDIC building in Hai Duong city.
VNPT Hai Duong and Viettel Hai Duong are continuing to install wifi systems for new quarantine areas to serve information and communication needs of authorities and citizens.
Mobifone Hai Duong has directly participated in guiding people on the installation of Bluezone application on smartphones.
“Recently, 100 employees of Mobifone have instructed and assisted more than 3,000 subscribers in installing and using Bluezone application. We are planning to set up a number of rice ATMs to help people in difficult circumstances and affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Deputy Director of Mobifone Hai Duong Nguyen The Dung.
Previously, some network operators also attached the phrase Hay Cai Dat Bluezone (Please install Bluzone) to their logos and installed annoucements of anti-pandemic recommendations.
The three network operators have also assisted the provincial People’s Committee in sending messages propagandizing a number of pandemic-related directions and recommendations of the provincial authorities to mobile phone subscribers.
